Dear wildblueyonder,

I am curious as to when was your "recent and outstanding experience at the Westin South Coast Plaza"?

I am particularly interested in the part about "upgraded to one of the "luxury suites" which was large, very nicely appointed, and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived" HOW did you do that? Did William intervened on your behalf?

Your post ran totally counter to the posts on this thread that I started, so could it be that the hotel has undergone a major renovation? Could anyone else confirm all this, please?

You have given me lots of hope for my upcoming stay there, and I sure hope that I will not be let down ;-)

Thanks in advance for these minor clarifications.

I was upgraded to one of the "luxury suites" which was large, very nicely appointed, and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived . The regular rooms are very nice; but the suites are extremely nice. Very modern. Very luxurious. "Modern luxury", one might say--if one were so inclined.
