this weekend. It was a great experience overall. Departure from ORD was smoothly, only 30 minute dealyed. We arrived DUB T2 terminal at 8:15am. Immigration was quick, there appeared to have been more EU than US on the flight. I must say the new terminal is great, a big improvement over T1. Once outside I got a bit lost as I couldn't find where to go to pick up my hotel shuttle bus. With the renovations done to the airport I felt a bit out of place to what I remembered. A quick trip to the information booth gave me the answer.

Departure on AA93 was also quick and without any problem, however, since you are clearing customs there, I recommend to arrive early. We got there at 7:40am, the line for check in was rather long, about 20 people on line and 3 booths were open. We where traveling business, only 3 people on line and 1 booth. No baggage to check in, got boarding ticket by 7:50am and proceeded to go to AE loungue, ticket agetn mentioned that we will not have enough time since we should go to the USCP US Customs Preclearance (or is it USPC?) before 8:30 as the line gets rather long.
THere is no global entry, the loungues are before pre-clearance, so I did not have time to see the new one. Filled out my paperwork and went through security, proceeded to the lower level for US CUSTOMS, signs are everywhere, so no problem here. Checked through US, and then had to go through security again. Baggage screening is done twice, before entering the terminal, and after going through Customs preclearance. I was done with everything by 8:40am, and this included a quick trip to duty free shop for some Bulmers and a stop at the currency exchange to switch my leftover EUR to USD.
THe only thing is that once you are in the gate area, there is nothing else there, only a small sandwich shop, MORNING MEADOWS, that's it. There was a small duty free shop, but it remained closed. I could see the line getting big while going though customs and the 2nd baggage check in, luckily we where the first inline, so no waiting for us.

We arrived ORD at T3, (preclearance in DUB). No need for immigration, customs or anything else. I can not comment on how baggage is handle since I did not check any in.
