It'd take a lot more than that to kill even a standard laptop, and wholly solid-state devices like iPads are a lot tougher than them. Heck, you could probably fling an iPad down the aisle and it'd turn on just fine.
With that said, I'd hope they plan on keeping a hard copy of whatever documents are necessary somewhere in the cockpit as well. I'm sure a tablet would make things quicker and easier to find, but sometimes technology just doesn't work, and you want a backup plan for that occurence.
