Thanks for your post, phoenixdude, as I was confused re this sector, from everything I was hearing it was a good F experience and that is what I want for Indian trips, but reports here were showing otherwise. I am happy with the "old" 747, in fact on these short trps I prefer the seat as it is softer and far more comfortable than the newer slimmer designs. I must tell you, that I equate First with lobster, so on many flights when I have decided to go with the menu of the day, I switch at the last minute and go for the lobster and overall, I still enjoy it.
Recently flew this flight was very impressed. Nothing short of full First class experiance. I really don't mind the older seats for the shorter flights. Great service, good food and drinks including Dom ^

Now the bad part. Was first off the flight, went through immigration in 10 minutes and then had to wait 1hr for my bags. Almost all of the pax's had left by then. Me and another couple were made to wait till the last lot, they were in Biz.
