Hello, I just purchased a deal on expedia. The flights are booked using Aeromexico, which is part of Skyteam. I provided my delta FF#, since I am often flying on Delta and have a gold status.

So can I be upgraded on one of the Aeromexico flights (SFO-MEX, MEX-CUN)? Can I request it at the counter, or at least give it a try? I am traveling with a friend who is silver on Air France (skymiles too), can he get upgraded along with me?
