This shared LAX bus service is quite a disaster. As noted above it is mandated by the airport and there is really nothing hotels can do about it.

Sometimes when I am in a hurry I just take a cab to the airport. If one goes to the United terminals it can take upto half an hour to get there after all the hotel stops and different terminal ones.
