Hi,

I love the Polynesian too ( stayed there for 4 nights for the WDW half marathon in January).

I am biased towards the Mandalay Bay in LV ( love the hotel) but I would have to say that none of them really match the Polynesian ( the Polynesian is a low level building ( 3 storeys maximum (with a great lakeside location) which none of the LV hotels match.

All of them in the garden area look tropical to some degree ( still difficult to escape the fact that you are in las vegas).

My comments on them-

Mandalay Bay- the smell in the hotel public areas are tropical and plenty of tropical plants ( the aquarium in the lobby is interesting) but a lot of the statues on the strip entrance to the hotel and around the pool are remind me more of SE asia in some respects rather than hawaii ( ie Laos, burma, Angkor Wat). The wave pool is very good but busy.

The Mirage- the " covered dome" leading from the lobby has tropical plants and the pool area is tropical in nature.

Tropicana- Just walked through it once so cannot really comment ( did not strike me as being very tropical)

Flamingo-The flamingos in the garden area add a bit of the tropics to it but t in the garden area you are surrounded by the pink windows of the Flamingo ( HGVC) on all sides. Pool does have a tropical flavour to it.

I would probably say the Mandalay Bay would have the most tropical feel to it.

Regards
