Hi OP, just as a sample, I have booked this recently with AP for travel at the end of this year. Trust me the routing wasn't easy to get since apparently there they weren't allowed but some determination and Supervisor convincing made it all possible with hours with AP. The YVR-SYD is almost impossible to get if you're not good at it but lots of options via Asia. Don't bother trying over Europe as many had tried from Western Canada and non are allowed.
