Indeed....Foz do Iguacu. It's been over ten years since I was up there...the falls were of course spectacular but the town was the exact opposite. To be fair it was just a village before thousands of workers arrived to build the Itaipu dam and made the town into what it is now.....a bit of a dump.

I just don't fancy Sao Paulo and given a choice I would plump for Rio. I'm sure our forum Brasil partygoer Leisurefirst will be along at some point to give his expert view on the pros and cons of both cities.
We made a road trip down from Ascuncion for the weekend to Foz maybe 3 or so years back. Just to reassure you then that the place has not changed although there seemed to be a fair few tour groups on the 2 days we were there.
