Passenger presented their Business boarding pass from a flight into that port some time ago and their outbound Economy boarding pass on an A320 aircraft, attempting to argue that as there is no Business Class on their return flight they should be able to use the lounge (all the while keeping a long line of people waiting).

Their last attempt was to present an SQ PPS card, saying "This is Gold. It is Star Alliance".

The attendant quick as a flash replies in a withering tone "This expired in 2006".
