Overall experience/any other comments
On my 8:00 a.m. flight YOW-YYZ, I was served breakfast (omelette). I was surprised on flight 777 that the menu provided for a 10:30 departure was identical to the earlier flight, when it was obvious that the meal would not be served until almost noon. I was told by a flight attendant that the cutoff for deciding between breakfast or lunch service was a 10:30 departure. In the end we did not depart until almost 11:30, and meal service started well after noon. I declined to choose a meal, as I had already had one omelette that day (and did not want the other option, pancakes, in the afternoon). Shortly after that, the in-charge came by to see if everything was okay. I mentioned not being interested in an afternoon breakfast. She promptly offered me anything I wanted from the buy-on-board menu. I definitely appreciated this gesture, and selected a chicken wrap. This is the kind of "can-do" service that I have been seeing more and more frequently from Air Canada, and it is most welcome. Kudos to the in-charge on this flight! ^
