Thanks for your suggestions to the above posters. A few points:

I have checked out and checked back in (have to travel for work as well as personal) during my stay.

I do have a local branch of the bank - unfortunately, it doesn't open until after I leave for work and is closed when I return from work. My bank branch manager in Seattle said that she would vouch for me if I go to the bank here.

The limit per day is $300; however, this Sheraton does not have very much cash on hand so $50 lasts me for a few days and is all I really needed.

As far as staying elsewhere; unfortunately, I am currently awaiting the arrival of my automobile from Seattle and I work downtown, so this really is more of a convenience than anything else at this point.

I guess my frustration just lies with the fact that although I understand there are rules that a hotel employee must abide by, once in awhile you have to think "outside the box" <cringe with that phrase>. This would have been one of those times.
