Despite I have now become a big fan of BA, I tend to agree with macabus. BA's F is not on par with what is offered by other European carriers. For me this is due to:
- Cramped cabin (14 seats in the nose of a 747 are anything but "first class"). NF obviously doesn't solve the issue.
- Sub-par food and wine.
- Average ground services (well, if even AF can manage a car to the plane...)
As I wrote in another post some time ago, I perceive BA's F more as a "premium business".
Having said that, CW is an excellent product (again, except for the food). Overall, given my travel patterns I am more than happy to have an airline which has great business and poor first (and not the opposite... LH C anyone?).
