Wondering why the St. Regis Platinum benefits are really poor ("different" in San Fran. I've stayed at the St. Regis in Bali, New York, Rome, Aspen, Dana Point, Houston, Hawaii, Singapore (and soon Bangkok) and the one in San Fran seems to be "cheaping out" on the Platinum benefits. Frankly it's downright confusing.

Specifically, The platinum benefit through the Butler service I'm accustomed to at all the other St. Regis (assuming I'm recalling correctly)
-Automatic Butler service (independent of room type)
-2 free shirt pressings per stay
-Upgrade to the best available room (most suites included)
-Shoe Shine
-Multiple complimentary coffee services during the day / night

San Fran only offers Butler Service (all rooms) and an Upgrade (which I feel I have to "fight for" versus am given?). They claim the rest of the benefits are only available if you are in a suite?

Frankly, this is downright confusing (and it feels like SF is "sneaking by" somehow?)

I'm wondering if others have had this experience and why Starwood hasn't standardized the Platinum benefits across all St. Regis?
