I actually bought about 10,000 points when they were offering a 25% bonus for purchases and was using them on SEA-PDX at just 1,000 each way since the points were easy to redeem last minute and it locked in my price at the cheapest fare typically offered.

I don't live there any longer and don't have any specific need for these in the short run. Is there a way to keep them from expiring or should I just give them to friends and family?
