When you realized the next day they didn't offer the plat amenity go down to front desk, tell them, and say you'd like the plat guarantee $$. They may say oh sorry, we can get you gift or points now. Say thank you but no. I'll take the (fill in the blank on the $$ amount depending on the property). A lot of properties will ante it up w/o a hassle. Some won't, but just rinse & repeat on what you've said.
