With oil pushing towards $130, what will MR this summer be like?
I was just thinking about a couple of years ago, when oil spiked how the MR'ing changed. Some of the changes I noticed then
1) US air (+ others) no min 500 miles
2) US air no bonus EQM for Elites
3) ALL - drastic reduction in F services, meals etc.
4) MR fares were high- tough to find less then 5-6 cents per EQM
5) I also remember fewer bonus miles promotions
6) Huge reduction in award availability. All of a sudden it became harder to redeem your miles.
Any predictions what we might start seeing this summer.
It would be interesting if you could easily search flyertalk MR forum to see what people were talking about that summer 3 years? ago.
