I just returned from Italy this past Tuesday on one of the "mistake" fares. Did Northern Italy. Flew into Milano. I also bank at BofA and they have a global alliance with BNL(Banco Nazionale de Lavoro). They have ATM's at Milan Malpensa as well as a "bank" there. And all over Italy for that matter. No atm fees. You will pay a 1%-3% exchange rate so take out as much as you can at a time. Most atm's in Italy will only let you take out 250 Euro at a time from each atm. Have fun.
