Barcelo purchased Crestline (formerly a part of Marriott and a spin off of a spin off etc) and renamed it BarceloCrestline which is a hotel management company (ie a franchise company)...so if they wanted they could make it a Marriott again (there is a wall between the parent company operations and the management company operations because major chains refuse to let other major chains run hotels in their systems, would be like Coke allowing Pepsi to be a major bottler of theirs....but the leaders of the management company do sit on the parent's BOD)
