I've never stayed there but from driving by the hotel and knowing the neighborhood there is absolutely nothing to suggest that the Westin Park Central is even remotely trendy or W-ish. Park Central is an area of high rise office buildings; it's totally dead evenings and weekends. Far from any of the major restaurant/nightlife zones of Dallas.

Would agree with others that Hotel ZaZa is probably your best bet for a W-like experience in Dallas until the new W opens at the AAC/Victory development. Aside from the scene at the hotel, there are lots of good bars and restaurants in Uptown within walking distance of Zaza.

Other boutique/upscale hotels in Dallas are The Crescent, Mansion on Turtle Creek, Stoneleigh, and Melrose. None are as W-like as ZaZa however.
