There's three checkpoints for Delta's DTW terminal: 1) the main departures area (two openings between the ticket counters funneling down to the escalators), 2) the "Bridge" level (which connects the parking deck and the terminal; it's the same level/floor as the gates) and 3) the hotel security checkpoint, which closes at 7 p.m.
I believe all of them have the nude-o-scanners. No way to get around getting your dangly bits examined or fondled.
