Thanks for the replies. I am quite new to the world of loyalty program status, so please pardon any misunderstanding.

I am under the impression that as I have stayed 60+ nights consecutive in a Hilton property in 2011, I have now obtained Diamond status...the rooms are paid for any no special discounts or points were used.

Assuming I am now Diamond status, this would be good through the end of 2012? If this is correct, I am thinking I might as well try and get status in another program, as the status is likely to be more helpful to me than the points.

Please let me know if I my assumptions are incorrect.

I am thinking of moving to a SPG property....
