AA promo codes are only good on flights operated by American, American Eagle, American Connection. Since American doesn't operate from ROA, a discount code won't work (unless you purchased 2 tickets: Ticket A to get you from ROA-XXX-ROA, and apply the discount to Ticket B XXX-BOM-XXX, i.e. ORD)
