T3 is the closest and most conveniently located to TBIT, and now they're moving to T6 just complicates things for me..

It shouldn't. I have transferred plenty of times between TBIT and T7 (in both directions), with luggage on wheels, always walking, never taking the bus. It is less than a 10 minute walk, but take the lower level, as the upper curbs get very crowded. And from TBIT >to> 7 you get a free cart.
