The good thing is that the airlines have had the sense to get rid of the phrase "We have been cleared to land at X, so please bring your tray tables ..." which, even before I got my ratings, I found utterly annoying, becuase there was simply no way it could've been true.

edit: After reading through a couple more of his articles, it's apparent that SOME airlines still do this.
