There are lots of reasons why sometimes its not possible to get seats together. As the OP mentioned, it was a full flight... it is possible that when the tickets were purchased there were no seats available that were together. Perhaps only middle seats were left.

The attitude of the GA is not acceptable. It is a simple request. If there is no time to do it, that's fine, but at least communicate it in a courteous manner.
Why the hostility? Before a flight is full there have been empty seats.

To the OP; Please write to DL, I've experienced and have seen more than once poor attitudes by GA's. The only way for this to be corrected is to make DL aware and hope they do something about it. The problem may even originate from DL by putting so much pressure on the GA's to get flights out o time. That is no excuse for treating you or anyone else in a rude manner, just a thought as to how a GA may feel. A request to seat your children with you is more than reasonable. In today's world you would think every effort should be made to accomodate that request, that is what SHOULD HAVE happened!
