Now a way around that is you ask people to move. Failing that, well I don't know. Plan ahead if you have kids. Period.
I should have said it is a CRJ and they didn't move anyone in the bulkhead, traveling together, or exit row. There are no middle seats, 2+2. AND, I will tell you, i used to be LIKE YOU when i was a big stud important businessman and hated kids on the plane. Now, with 2 of my own, I do anything and everything I can to help those Mom's flying by themselves with their kids. Not to get too much on a soap box, but what is more important? A mom sitting by her 2.5 and 4.5 yr old or sitting in 3C versus 4C. Sometimes us PMs/DMs etc should have compasion for people traveling with families. Most of the time, my wife in particular, she is so worried to bother everyone else she stresses the entire flight. Just saying, the world woudl be a much better place if us elite flyers helped those who don't travel so much rather than rushing on the plane, complaining about everything, and not helping those in need get their bags from the overhead...just saying....
