I'm going to be flying with a friend to Cambodia, and we were looking at flights this morning trying to decide how much we wanted to spend.

Currently it is at $1500 per person for an economy class ticket. $4300 Per person for a business class ticket. How do I know if this business class ticket qualifies for a companion ticket?

I know it's a lot more, but we don't mind splitting the $1300 difference for the added comfort of business. This would be on Asiana Airlines and I am an Amex Platinum card member.

I called Amex this afternoon and spoke with someone who had a very thick accent and kept on quoting me $8800 for two business class tickets. Never did she answer my questions about companion tickets.
