I'm surprised to hear that the general PH Shanghai e-mail address did not work. I used the general addresses for the PH Beijing and the Hyatt at the Bund in Shanghai earlier this week with inquires, and received responses within a few hours. E-mails to properties that go unanswered always leave a bad impression for travelers, even before their arrival.
