2. I have a similar situation with other people who have posted on this thread that I will be flying 6 sectors during the last 2 weeks of this month and I will not be able to bring my travelling partner into the lounge with me. Very disappointing.
You know, as much as I like to fly EK, I found myself voting for Etihad for most of the categories in those awards. Ok, you can only upgrade from certain fare classes and the miles required are more, but saver fares devalue most of the EK program anyway.
What's more, with Etihad you're guaranteed the full miles and they also have much better benefits, on paper at least.
