Hi All,
I've searched the forums but cant quite find this specific issue anywhere so hopefully someone can help me out please
Took a trip with my g/f in Feb from London to South Africa and back on SAA. We put our OnePass numbers into the booking at booking/reservation time and then again made sure they were correct at check in. They are printed on the boarding passes which we luckily still have.
My miles got credited within a week or 2 but hers didn't. So gave it another 3 or 4 weeks and this week scanned the boarding passes (with the OnePass numbers on them) and the booking confirmation and sent it in to OnePass service centre. They came back with:
Dear XXXXXX
In getting your miles credited to your account, you will need to send the original boarding passes to:
Continental Airlines OnePass Service Center
P.O. Box 4365
Houston, TX 77210-4365
Include a short note outlining what you would like them to do. In the future, you should be able to add them yourself online at continental.com. All you have to do is sign into your OnePass account using your pin code, and then using the ticket numbers, you can add them instantly. I think you will find this most helpful!
We thank you for choosing to fly with us, and for being a valued OnePass member.
Kindest regards to you
Not really helping me at all, I replied and asked for more details on where within the site one can perform this online. Reply was:
Hello XXXXX,
Thank you for your email.
You can add the flights yourself by signing into your OnePass account online at continental.com. You will need your pin code to add them this way.
If you do not have your pin code, then the only way to add the miles is to send the original boarding passes to the OnePass Service Center. I am sorry, that is their policy. I am in Customer Care and all requests for OnePass mileage credit for flights taken, must go through OnePass and be added by them.
I do agree with you, that if you can sign in online at continental.com, that is the very best way to handle this. I would also caution you to always keep your original boarding passes after you travel, until the miles for your flights are added.
Kind regards to you.
First of all, is there any other way to achieve this than to actually send the originals overseas? Is the scanned copy not sufficient? I do have the pin code, and have signed in, but cant find anywhere to claim these *A miles.
Secondly, if we do have to send them and they are lost in the mail for whatever reason, we will have little proof of the actual flight.
Third, I've looked on the site as suggested by the rep above, and cannot find anything like what she is talking about. Through googling, I've found the "Mileage Credit Request" page, but that seems to be only for CO flights, not Star Alliance.
Some other posts suggest that people with 2 last names have trouble getting their miles credited - this is the case with my g/f.
We are due to travel overseas again tomorrow, but if this is going to be the norm with OnePass and we have this hassle every time we need the miles credited (this is after ensuring the FF numbers are registered at booking and checkin mind you) I would rather switch to a UK or EU based FF program. Or one in the US or elsewhere that makes things slightly easier.
A little frustrated!
If anyone can help I'd be most appreciative
Thanks
