my life would be so much easier if i could get to LGA on the subway. NYC's transit connections to the airports are an embarrassment (as are the airports themselves, for the most part).
And the ironic thing is that there's partilal (I grant you, it's not full) access between these airports and a nearby right of way that could get close to a subway or rail hookup. That is, one could run a line from LGA along the Grand Central and hook up to the E/F subway through the rail yard in Flushing Meadows, and for JFK, there's the disused spur off the LIRR main line that branches off in Rego Park that has been considered for an airport link, save for the homeowners that would have to listen to the sound of trains in their backyards.
