The SWA fleet is 548 aircraft. Presumably there are always some that are out of service, but (548 - x) * 6.x departures / day is roughly equal to the ~3,400 daily departures.
It would be interesting to delve into the details of how
FlightStats calculate their cancellation numbers, as well as how canceling a flight # with a single departure versus canceling a flight # with seven departures affects the official ontime percentage statistics.
