Hey - it is not that bad -- and I certainly would not route through the USA as an alternative. I get CX826 (HKG/YYZ) around six times a year and the time it takes from when the aircraft doors open to being out of the T3 building rarely exceeds 45 minutes in my experience. I took this flight ten days ago (when there was some snow) and I was out of the airport in < 20 minutes. At the time CX826 gets in, Immigration is usually well staffed and the bags start rolling out fairly quickly even if lots of flights have arrived at the same time. You are in F and **most** of the time the F-tagged bags come out first
The transfer to T1 should take < 15 minutes and then you are just constrained by the check-in time imposed by Air Canada. If you are in J or have status with Air Canada the check-in process should be quick too.
