Do you have to pay extra for the kids when you booked a standard room? We are going there with 3 small kids and the oldest one is 5. We also have a reservation at Citea Saint Louis which is on the French side - Swiss price level is simply as bad as the Danish one. French food is not so bad either.
The reviews are of course about the location, but not only that. Also some talked about horrible staff especially the breakfast staffs. Some said the breakfast wasn't good. It really varies and that's why I'm a bit worried.
We won't have a car so that parking is not an issue for us.
About CPH, Scandic Ermitage is located outside Copenhagen (I used to live very close to there). It takes about 20 minutes by train to get into the city which wasn't bad and that was the reason we lived there. It's located in one of the finest suburbs of CPH, and it's next to a mall.
If you are a Marriott fan, you can use the Renaissance in Malmo which is on the other side of CPH airport. We are living on the Swedish side because of the price level. The Ren has very good reviews by FTers and if you are MR Gold then you can get free breakfast there too.
Another option is Radisson - they are usually with good location, the Carlson friends and family rates might be a good option. Check out the Carlson hotels threads for more details (sorry I dont' know how to quote links or post). Some FTers also used Crowne Plaza CPH which is not far from the airport and you can use the IHC friends and family rate. Again check on the IHC forum for more info.
Hope this helps and have a nice time in CPH - I hope the weather will be nicer in July!
