Put the perishables in a chiller bag with cold packs/freeze packs, then wrap them in plastic bags (double layer, preferably), then put them in a box (to prevent the pots from being crushed), then put them in your suitcase.
That should solve both the problems with security and liquids, and also of making a mess on your clothes.
