Bali is huge and there is plenty to see, more than enough for a month much less 2 weeks. Flying to someplace not as nice or interesting seems like a poor use of time to me. If you do go, be sure to pick a specific objective. Also staying within Indonesia saves the cost and hassle of another visa; alternatively route via HKG and make that your 3-4 day side trip, Hong Kong is a great contrast to Bali.
