Just to add news of a delightful Morton's /Pres Plus benefit that I received in the mail last Wed. Like a few others, I got a birthday card with a $100 gift card thanking me for my business, and acknowledging my VIP status.

I promptly made a reservation for Thursday evening!

Not only was it delicious as always, but at 9:20pm George and Barbara Bush were entering the elevator as we were leaving it! They were not only gracious, but very friendly...President Bush asked us, "Did you eat it all, or is there some left for us?"

I was close enough to reach out and poke them (and their several secret service guys) not that I would, as I have a lot of respect for them both. Pretty cool all the way around!!

((PS for anyone who wondered about this, Mrs Bush explained/apologized to us that they had sent their man up to get the elevator for them, and they were as surprised to see us as we were to see them. He must have reached the top of the one flight of stairs as we stepped into the elevator, and then we were down in a flash. ))
