I am curious about how to make the following work for me:

Platinum member.
Going to a trade show with ten other co-workers (only 2 collect Marriott Rewards).
Staying at the Marriott San Jose.
For the 8 people who do not collect points, I want them.
All reservations must be in the name of the guest since we are all checking in at different times.

What is the critical field(s) required to match my # vs. name in order to get credit?

i.e. if my name is Peter Piper would a reservation John Smith, configure like this work?

First: John
Last: Smith - Piper
MR#: 1234567 (My #)

Any insight would be great, this would be a huge point coup for me if I can pull it off.
