I'm very pleased with the performance of my Netgear WNDR3700, which can be had at or below the price point you've listed. The latest firmware solves the only significant problem I had (disappearance after a few days of a shared USB-connected storage device; the router has basic NAS functionality). Signal strength is very good throughout all 3 floors of my 3000sf home.
Feature list is very similar to the TrendNet, although the 450Mb/s WLAN support isn't available on the 3700. For that you'd need the WNDR4000, which sells for around $150. I've heard good reports on that model, but have no direct experience with it.
