For all asking why the OP didn't jump up and move, I believe she has posted in other threads about mobility limitations. Not positive if I'm thinking of the right poster because of the "started for the restroom" bit, though. But I have certainly sat next to pax who couldn't just "jump up" out of the way if there was formula raining down from overhead, so could be a factor here.
