Actually, I didn't do much of anything except ask the SPG Hotel Coordinator for the hotel to follow up with them on their understanding of Gold elite member benefits.

Technically, they were not in violation of anything as you had not yet checked in, but we wanted them to know that we were watching/interested in the outcome.
