Been there, around the world. Constant travel. Lots of it. My mobile accompanies me everywhere. But, I would still find it convenient to have a consistent 'hotel' number so that I am not dependent on coverage or roaming charges when people need to simply leave me a message or fax (independent of time zones) that is integrated with the hotel's messaging system.

btw. I've not looked into vonage before. How has your experience been?
