Is it better to buy them now for a late May trip or can I buy them at the last minute in person at St. Pancras? What's y'alls recommendation?

And are there any Eurostar trains heading back to England overnight? I don't want to come back to London at 9 PM and have to stay in town all night. I'd rather take the train and arrive in London at 3 AM or something. Shucks.
