I am sorry but that is incorrect. Nowhere in AA's international tarrif it says what you are stating as if it were a fact, and the customer's contract is with AA and not with the operating carrier. If the customer was given information by AA that was not honored by the carrier for which AA contracted carriage, then he should seek compensation from AA.
