In all my infinite wisdom, and in order to activate my previously paid but platinum card benefit for free tripit pro, I went to settings/applications through the tripit website and selected to "remove" the application access to the Amex Travel App. Apparently, that wasn't a smart move... I cannot get my Amex Travel app to link up to my tripit account, regardless of numerous attempts and repeated disassociate/logout/login/etc.
When I go to the Amex Travel app on my phone, I log in w/ Amex credentials... works so far. It then tells me to activate my free TripIt Pro account... ok, still working. Select to activate this screen then next -- taken to safari window with tripit sign in, do so... fine, so far. Window shows to "grant access" to Amex app, tick box, submit... back to Amex Travel app w/ popup saying: "Before you can view your plans, you need to confirm you email address by clicking on the email you received from TripIt or go to TripIt.com to authorize this app."
I have yet to receive any authorization email, as stated, and cannot find ANYWHERE on TripIt.com to "authorize" this app... help, please, if anyone has had similar issues?
(Before I get not so subtle suggestions to contact support for either Amex or TripIt... already done so, no help from either. Poor guy with Amex Travel App that I spoke with was having trouble keeping up with what I was telling him and I am not certain he even understood the issue after repeated attempts. TripIt hasn't replied, which is unusual, as they are usually quite prompt w/ support)
