Sorry, but Fouquet's Barrière is frightful! Very poorly maintained and with sloppy service. Raffles Royal Monceau, too, is to be avoided.

Currently, apart from Park Hyatt Vendome, which is acceptable rather than inspired, I would not recommend any contemporary Parisian hotel. Maybe MO will put things to right when it opens this summer, or maybe we will have to wait even longer for The Peninsula to set the contemporary trend!
