Is Diclofenac/Volterol illegal in the UAE as well? Any advice about what to do would be very gratefully received. I am only transiting through Dubai on the way to India.

Thank you very much
Hi. I use the same medication for arthritis in the lower back and I used them during a trip to Dubai last year and I'll do the same this year. I kept the medication in my hand luggage with a prescription. I have never encountered any problems or been searched. From what I have gathered, they have the common sense to distinguish between genuine medical cases and illegal smuggling.

Keep them in their original labelled boxes with just enough for the trip and you will be fine.
