When i did my same day LHR turn over the weekend I was wondering the same thing. What to keep me from leaving the airport?
Customs?
Like at NRT, you go upstairs into the Immigration Hall and either head straight down the corridor to Customs or you go right or left to the transfer security checkpoint. Once you are in the terminal, its a one-way gate from the check-in hall. No exit at passport control like we have in the states at the TSA check-point.
