Dear MIT_sbm,
We're continuing to monitor conditions in Japan. As always, safety is our highest priority, and we are in close communication with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to stay updated on the latest news.
The IATA issued a joint statement with the International Civil Aviation Organization on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Agency, International Maritime Organization, the World Health Organization and the World Meteorological Organization, on the continued safety of air transport operations in Japan. These organizations have assured us that there are no travel restrictions at Japan's major airports.
As such, our daily flights to and from Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT) will continue to operate as normal. If you are traveling to or from Japan, we encourage you to check your flight status at delta.com and be sure to sign up for flight notifications.
You may continue to support disaster relief efforts for those impacted by the recent earthquake and tsunami by donating money or miles. To date, SkyMiles members have generously donated more than 32 million miles, which is in addition to Delta's corporate pledge of $1 million and 5 million miles.
Thank you for your support. We will continue to update you on the latest news at delta.com and twitter.com/DeltaNewsroom.
